Because of her fighting spirit and tough attitude she has no issue standing up to people, this impressed the town especially when she was able to stand up to Regina and Mr. Gold, both of whom are the two people in town no one has ever stood up to before. She still didn't believe in the fairytales or her destiny from either Henry or even August (who was actually Pinocchio) but it wasn't until after Henry fell under a sleeping curse, Emma then believed the stories were real and she is the savior. Emma then tries to help the town and keep the citizens safe, but also came to see that she had to take the right course of action to help others even promising to help everyone
