After the events of Sonic Adventure 2 (2001), however, Omega appears to have gone rogue and now harbors an intense grudge against Robotnik underscored by its desire to achieve the destruction of the Eggman Empire. Although trained from creation to mimic the speed of strength qualities of Sonic and the other anthropomorphic characters in the series, Omega's real potency lies in the unique ability to fire homing missiles in large quantities from its right arm — a mode that is interchangeable with his robot fist.
