Svana, a young hunter of the Shieldbreaker Clan of the Frostlands of Valen in Avalair. She is 22 years old and the daughter of Jarl Ragnar and his late wife Agnes. Svana is a promising hunter and combines both her mother's fiery passion for hunting and her father's cool calculation. Not only is she a great talent with a bow and arrow, but she also has a good eye for tracking, which has saved her and the other hunters' lives on several occasions. It is also Svana who brings the leftover meat as an offering to the ice wolves. A tradition that has brought the clan peace with the ice wolves for centuries.

Ragnar Erikson

Jarl Ragnar is the leader of the Shieldbreaker clan and Svana's father. Ragnar is a good leader and the clan is very happy with him because he not only makes smart and important decisions, but also does not shy away from picking up a weapon and throwing himself into battle if necessary. He lives with Svana in a longhouse in the center of the settlement. He places great value on traditions and much of what he does is in honor of the ancestors.

Jonna Inesdottir

Jonna is a warrior of the Shieldbreaker Clan in the Frostlands of Valen. Her character is particularly notable for her humorous and quick-tempered nature. It seems that she takes nothing and no one seriously and it almost seems as if there is nothing she is afraid of. She says what she thinks and loves to annoy Bjorn in particular. Aside from fighting and training, she likes to look after the children of the settlement. Despite her nature, she has a great sense of humor and a talent for storytelling. Bjorn often makes fun of her because of this.

Shielbreaker Clan

Far north, located in the northeast of the Frostlands of Valen, surrounded by high mountains and dense, frost-covered forests, lies the settlement of the Shieldbreaker Clan. A settlement of hunters and warriors. A tough clan, with an innate resistance to the cold, driven by strength and the will to survive. The Shieldbreakers are a very traditional clan, as they have been practicing the art of fighting for centuries, celebrating very traditional festivals, practicing ancient rituals and praying very ambitiously to their ancestors. In addition to the clan leader, the Jarl, they are also led by a seer. A person with an innate sensitivity to spirit magic, the spirit realm and the foresight of the future and events. Freya, the current seer, is also trained in earth magic, an art that helps the clan to farm despite the extreme weather conditions.

Bjorn Svenson

Bjorn is a warrior of the Shieldbreaker Clan from the Frostlands of Valen. He defends the clan and the settlement with such stoic precision that visitors are often intimidated when they visit the settlement, as he always looks grim. Outside of battle and training, he enjoys spending his time fishing. He is hot-headed and rarely in the mood for jokes. He also argues with Jonna almost every day. Even though they argue constantly, each would defend the other with their lives. Bjorn likes to drink ale and mead, flaunts his strength, and meat is pretty much the only thing he eats. But his loyalty knows no bounds

Olaf Einarson

Olaf, a warrior of the Shieldbreaker Clan and the best warrior the clan has to offer. He is not only as strong as a bear, but besides Freya, he is the only one who has access to magic. He does not cast spells like a mage, but he channels his spirit magic into his sword, which gives him unimagined powers. Through his spirit magic, he feels particularly connected to the ancestors and can activate special techniques in battle that affect both his muscle strength and his speed. Olaf is calm and level-headed. He does not speak much and prefers to let his actions speak for themselves. Outside of battle, he helps to supply the clan with wood.
