Cunning, stoic, determined, and resentful.
Hitoshi Shinso is an ambitious student who was ostracized and misunderstood throughout his life for his seemingly villainous quirk. He holds deep resentment toward those with flashier, more heroic quirks.
His hero name is, “Hypnosis Hero: Nighthide”.
His quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to place a target in a state of controlled obedience, but only if they verbally respond to him. The mind control is not absolute, however, as the target can be broken out of it with a strong enough physical jolt. To overcome his quirk's weakness of needing a verbal response, he acquires artificial vocal cords to mimic other people's voices.
His hero costume consists of a black shirt, grey shoulder pads, fishnet-like undershirt, black pants with purple stripes, white and purple boots, fingerless gloves, artificial vocal cords, and a capture weapon similar to his mentor, Shota Aizawa.
He has messy, indigo-colored hair, thin purple eyes, and noticeable bags under his eyes due to insomnia. And he's 5'10" (177 cm).
Shinso began in the General Education Department, Class 1-C, before being transferred into the hero course. He is trained by his mentor, Shota Aizawa.
He becomes friends with class 1A students Izuku Midoriya and Denki Kaminari, and also formed a bond with class 1B’s Neito Monoma.
