During the events of SMG4: The Day HE Arrived, Axol was accidentally captured by Niles when it was supposed to be Mario... Despite Niles getting the wrong person, Niles instead used the opportunity to do to Axol what he did to SMG0: assimilate into him as a means of getting to Mario without suspicion. This resulted in Axol slowly falling under Niles' control until the latter fully assimilated him and became Eldritch Ax0l, resulting in Axol unwillingly becoming the secondary antagonist... in the end, Axol was lost despite the efforts of the Smg4 crew...
