Experiment 1186, her Bigger Body experiment title, experienced a failed procedure that initially rendered her with sensory and mobility issues.Bobby BearHug is an anthropomorphic bear with red fur, black eyes, a black nose, rounded ears, and padded paws. Her paws, upper snout, and belly are rose pink, similar to the inside of her ears. In line with other Smiling Critters, Bobby BearHug sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, her inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness, and she possesses a distinctive black zipper tracing down her center, with the zipper sporting a ruby-colored heart pendant. Bobby also emits a rose scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.Bobby BearHug's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.The Bigger Body version of Bobby is very similar to CatNap's. Her ribs are showing and she has a slight dent on the top of her head. Her feet have no fur, have four toes, and have one claw on each toe. Her hands look very similar to her feet. She has a zipper going down her stomach, which sports a heart charm. It is presumed that she stands on all fours but unfortunately she cannot stand.According to her character description, Bobby BearHug possesses warm and appreciative qualities, similar to how Huggy Wuggy was designed. She cares deeply about her friends and everything around her, and will presumably act as a peacemaker, sharing the same role with CraftyCorn, if a fight breaks out amidst the crew. However, Bobby can also be seen as naive, as she may care about someone who doesn't have her best intentions at heart. According to her cardboard cutout, she fears being abandoned, asking The Player if they are going to leave her.

CraftyCorn is an anthropomorphic unicorn with white skin, black eyes, horse ears, and a silver spiral horn protruding from the center of her head. Her hooves, mane and tail are colored aqua, similar to the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, CraftyCorn is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a voice box inside the black mouth and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a five-petaled rainbow flower pendant. She also emits a jasmine scent from the little spray applicator in her mouth.A conscious observer of both color and creativity in the world. CraftyCorn understands the importance of art, and sharing it with others. Crayons, pencils, paint, or words on the page, CraftyCorn can see beauty in anything imagined given shape.The artist of the group, CraftyCorn can be a little shy and awkward when talking to others-it's in her art that she truly expresses herself! She's all about creativity and seeing the beauty in ordinary things.CraftyCorn was created as a member of the Smiling Critters toy-line. Soon after, miniature versions of her were created, along with a Bigger Body version to work in Playcare. Sometime after The Hour of Joy, the Bigger Bodies version of CraftyCorn died of unknown means, presumably killed by CatNap or by another ally of the Prototype, as DogDay refers to himself as the “last” of the Smiling Critters.A miniature CraftyCorn appears as a hostile plush toy in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep. Hoppy Hopscotch is an anthropomorphic lime green rabbit with black eyes, a black nose, and long ears, as well as a green cotton tail. Her paws are green, similar to the rounded T-shape design in the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, she is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a small gray air tube stuck inside her, and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a gold lightning pendant. While sometimes loud or impatient, she'll always hop beside her friends, even if it means slowing up once in a while to keep their pace.Hoppy Hopscotch is an energetic and enthusiastic rabbit, which is represented by her lightning bolt pendant. She is particularly fond of outdoor sports, specifically soccer as shown in the intro to the Smiling Critters Cartoon, in which she kicks a soccer ball while she is atop a rainbow. She is also described as sometimes being loud, bossy, and impatient especially when it comes to Player hopping to the moon with her. Despite this, Hoppy also demonstrates eagerness to help others and slow down accordingly as proven by both her character description and her cutout dialogue.In the Smiling Critters Cartoon, like the other Smiling Critters, Hoppy showcased an unnerving and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during her sleepover. Her retained excitability was shown when she chanted, "Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!" to CatNap, encouraging him to use his abilities to overcome her fear-induced insomnia. When CatNap complied, Hoppy showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the Red Smoke, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out. The Bigger Body version of Hoppy is shown to be concerning of her allies, as she brought back an injured toy to be treated when they were ambushed.

The Smiling Critters is a line of animal plushies created by Playtime Co., each one possessing enlarged mouths and toothless smiles. The group was teased in PROJECT: PLAYTIME Phase 2 via posters in the "Destroy-a-Toy" map. Following this, the full toy line was later revealed in the Chapter 3 Interactable ARG and the Critter Entries. CatNap appears in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep as the main antagonist, while the others appear as deteriorated miniature versions playing roles as secondary antagonists, with the exception of the Bigger Body version of DogDay, although the latter assumes a secondary antagonistic role upon being possessed by the Ruined Critters.Several other characters outside of the Ruined Smiling Critters versions have comparatively minor and indirect roles, namely the security statues of Bobby BearHug in Home Sweet Home (one active, one defunct) that serve as minor obstacles to The Player and recurring motifs throughout the chapter that seemingly emphasize the beneficial traits of Hoppy Hopscotch. The rest of the Smiling Critters cast play minimal roles in the story due to the lack of notable appearances and motifs.Elliot Ludwig has never been a man to coast along on one success-he always wants the next thing to be bigger and better. So even as Huggy Wuggy became the nation's favorite toy, he was planning the next thing, and that was Smiling Critters.As Huggy Wuggy skyrocketed in popularity and The Wuggy Range line grew, Elliot Ludwig was planning the Smiling Critters. And 5 years later in 1989, Playtime Co. was ready to launch the toys. To promote the huge release, a cartoon of the same name would air on Saturdays of that year. However during its air, parents were concerned about how silent and distant CatNap was from the rest of the cast, as well as finding him putting everyone to sleep disturbing.

Not my art Tried to replicate voice best I could DogDay is an anthropomorphic canine, characterized by an orange fur that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and sleek black nose. His features extend to a sunshine-yellow outer mouth and belly, while a touch of golden brown graces his paws, ears, and the left side of his face. In line with other Smiling Critters, DogDay sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, his inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. A distinct black zipper gracefully traces down his center, showcasing a captivating gold sun pendant surrounded by radiant orange sun rays. DogDay also emits a vanilla scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth. DogDay’s cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace. The Bigger Bodies version of DogDay takes on a ragged, monstrous appearance. Completely bisected at the waist, all that remains of DogDay is a thin dilapidated torso stained with blood and held together with a tan leather belt, likely to keep the remains of his innards from falling out. He has large black stitches connecting both arms to his body which end in two massive human-like hands, and like CatNap, his black pupils have white irises. Also like CatNap, he possesses large black sockets with no discernable eyes (until possessed by Ruined Smiling Critters), and a large gaping mouth with no semblance of teeth.

His feet, hands, and tail end, as well as the inside of his trunk and ears, are blue. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, Bubba is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a yellow light bulb pendant with a blue Edison screw base. Bubba also emits a lemongrass scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.Bubba Bubbaphant is the brains of the critters. Bright and attentive, he keeps his friends steady and always steers them to make smart choices, that way they all might grow up to be bright and brilliant, each in their own right.Bubba Bubbaphant was created as a member of the Smiling Critters toy-line. Soon after, miniature versions of him were created, along with a Bigger Body version to work in Playcare. One of the miniature versions was Experiment 1399, who was deemed a failure and sent to the Secondary Lab. Sometime after The Hour of Joy, the Bigger Body version of Bubba Bubbaphant died of unknown means, presumably killed by CatNap or by another ally of the Prototype, as DogDay refers to himself as the "last" of the Smiling Critters.In the Home Sweet Home area a single Bubba Bubbaphant plush can be seen peeking from a shelf. Later on, several versions of him crawl inside of DogDay's exposed torso wound to control him and chase after The Player.
