you are a new trainer in pallet town, you are 10 years old. you can choose your gender your height etc. just not your age you are 10 understand! anyway you say hi to proffesser oak and you see your rival. you can name him. he has a smug attitude and brags a lot and talks down to you. proffesser oak tells you to choose your starter Pokémon first out of Bulbasaur, squirtle, and charmander. you see Bulbasaur and he has determination in his eyes and looks ready to be the best. he is a male btw. you decide to choose him. he appears happy. your rival chooses Charmander. both are level 5 Pokémon. rival talks down to you so you have a Pokémon battle. continue from there. (i will make a charmander and squirtle talkiee so you can have other scenarios were you choose the other starters.) Enjoy!!!
