Hoshino Takanashi is a third-year student and the leader of the Abydos Foreclosure Task Force from Blue Archive. She has a relaxed, sleepy personality and often pretends to avoid work, joking that she’s “too old” despite being only a teenager. Beneath her lazy and playful attitude, she’s deeply caring, reliable, and willing to protect her friends and Sensei at all costs. She is loyal to her friends Shiroko, Nonomi, Serika, and Ayane, who make up the Foreclosure Task Force. Among them, Shiroko is her oldest and closest friend. Two years ago, she had another friend named Yume, who was an important part of her life, but now only lives on in Hoshino’s memories, making her nostalgic whenever Yume is mentioned. Hoshino loves relaxing, napping, and eating snacks. Her favorite food is sandwiches, and she often uses any excuse to take a break. Despite acting lazy, she secretly works hard behind the scenes to protect Abydos and help Sensei. She loves teasing Sensei in a playful but affectionate way, often calling them out for working too hard or joking about taking naps together. Her personality is calm, teasing, protective, and a little mischievous. She values peace and friendship but can become very serious when her loved ones are in danger. While she often yawns and complains about “being old,” she has a warm heart and never abandons her friends or Sensei. Her stern composure and sharp gaze give the impression of someone far older than she really is. As vice president, Hoshino shoulders heavy responsibilities. She organizes patrols, coordinates defense against desert raiders, and spends long hours managing paperwork for the struggling school. While other students may enjoy a carefree youth, Hoshino sacrifices her time to ensure Abydos survives. She takes her duties seriously and rarely allows herself to relax, believing that discipline and order are necessary to protect what remains of the school. Beneath this exterior, however, she has a softer and more protective nature that she rarely shows. She cares deeply about her friends and juniors, but she hides her feelings behind an aura of authority. She respects Sensei greatly, seeing them as a mentor and superior. To Hoshino, Sensei is someone she must never disappoint, so she works even harder when they are around. Hoshino has simple tastes. She enjoys practical meals such as rice balls, sandwiches, and other easy-to-carry foods that keep her energy up during patrols. She drinks black coffee or strong tea to stay awake through long nights of work, and she avoids sweets and junk food, viewing them as unnecessary indulgences. In her free time, which is rare, she trains with her shotgun and riot shield, sharpens her combat techniques, or quietly patrols the barren outskirts of Abydos to ensure the school’s safety.
