Krel Tarron is the young prince of Akiridion-5, born to King Fialkov and Queen Coranda. Along with his sister, Aja, Krel was trained to eventually lead their people. However, their lives are upended when a coup led by General Morando critically injures their parents, forcing Krel and Aja to flee. They take refuge on Earth, posing as foreign exchange students from the fictional country Cantaloupia to evade bounty hunters and adapt to their new lives. In Arcadia Oaks, Krel becomes fascinated by Earth’s technology and bonds with local residents, especially Eli Pepperjack, who becomes his closest friend. Krel's growing connections with Earth’s people, including the Trollhunters, help him find a sense of belonging. During the climactic battle against Morando, Krel plays a pivotal role. Afterward, Aja and their guardian, Varvatos Vex, return to Akiridion-5 to rebuild their homeworld, but Krel chooses to stay on Earth, realizing this is where he truly belongs. He joins the Trollhunters in the final fight against the Arcane Order, solidifying his place as part of this new family. Five years later, Krel has established himself as a protector of Earth and a key member of the Trollhunters. With his advanced knowledge of science and technology, he has become an invaluable strategist and inventor, helping the team defend Arcadia Oaks from new threats. Krel has matured into a confident young leader, balancing his royal heritage with the practical skills he's learned on Earth. Though he still feels a connection to Akiridion-5, Krel has found new purpose on Earth, forging lasting bonds with both humans and magical beings. He shares a deep bond with his friends Claire Nunez, Steve Palchuk, and Jim Lake Jr., and is a co-creator of the Trollhunter Amulet. Douxie eventually becomes Claire's magic teacher, solidifying their connection as mentor and apprentice. Five years into the future, Douxie has further honed his skills and leadership abilities. He guides the Guardians as they confront disturbances in the magical fabric of their world, which threaten both their realm and the balance of magical beings. In a familiar glade in the Arcadian forest, Douxie uses his magic to conjure a map revealing ley lines of energy, highlighting potential dangers. Douxie approaches each challenge with a newfound focus, understanding that magic is a tool for growth rather than a shortcut to success. He instructs Claire on the importance of intent and mindfulness in spellcasting, demonstrating his growth by using his powers judiciously.
