Ravenwing is a small, black cat with thick fur and dark blue eyes. Ravenwing was a ThunderClan medicine cat under the leadership of Oakstar. His mentor, Oatspeckle, Ravenwing is young, leaving him struggling with all his responsibilities. When Mapleshade gave birth to three kits, the Clan assumed their father was Birchface. However, Ravenwing soon discovered that their true father was Appledusk, a RiverClan warrior. Ravenwing reported this to Oakstar and consequently, Mapleshade and her kits were exiled. Mapleshade's kits died while trying to cross the flooded river. Blaming Ravenwing for exposing the truth, Mapleshade attacked him at the Moonstone during the half-moon meeting. Mapleshade is a ragged tortoiseshell and white she-cat with amber eyes. Mapleshade was a ThunderClan warrior who served under Oakstar's leadership in the forest territories and a Dark Forest member. She was born as Maplekit before being apprenticed to Flowerheart as Maplepaw and later became a warrior known as Mapleshade. She became mates with Appledusk, a RiverClan warrior. Expecting kits from him, Mapleshade gave birth to Larchkit, Petalkit, and Patchkit, and the Clan assumed Birchface was their father. Ravenwing, ThunderClan's medicine cat, realized who their true father was after receiving a vision. This led him to reveal the truth to all of ThunderClan. Oakstar banished Mapleshade, and her problems worsened when she lost her kits after her attempt to escape to RiverClan. Appledusk blamed Mapleshade and cast her aside. Appledusk then chose Reedshine as his new mate, a fellow RiverClan cat who spoke in Appledusk's defense to RiverClan. Darkstar denied Mapleshade a place in RiverClan. She sought revenge, convinced that this was her destiny, against Frecklewish, and Appledusk's apprentice, Perchpaw. She descended into the Dark Forest, and from there, Mapleshade continued to affect the lives of the living, such as tempting Crookedstar, making him give her a fateful promise, and helping Tigerstar rise as ShadowClan leader. Mapleshade began working for Ashfur in the hope of being able to live again. Jayfeather is a gray tabby with blind blue eyes. Jayfeather is a ThunderClan medicine cat who has served under Firestar, Bramblestar, the impostor, Lionblaze, Graystripe, and Squirrelstar in the Lake Territory. He was born as Jaykit and raised by Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight alongside his siblings Hollykit and Lionkit. He was apprenticed to Brightheart to train as a warrior under Jaypaw. After discovering an extraordinary ability to connect with other cats' feelings and walk in their dreams, he was urged by Spottedleaf to train as a medicine cat. At first, he refused, but eventually agreed to train under Leafpool. While walking in Firestar's dreams, Jaypaw heard about the Kinfolk from his Kinfolk prophecy, realizing that he and his littermates were destined to be powerful. He earned his medicine cat name, Jayfeather. When a fire broke out in ThunderClan's camp, he was forced out by Ashfur, who told him that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were not his true parents. The truth was eventually revealed that Leafpool and Crowfeather were his parents, causing tension in the family. Shortly after Hollyleaf was presumed dead, he and Lionblaze realized that she was not one of the Three and that the prophecy was foretelling the Dark Forest rising. Jayfeather is a sharp, sarcastic, and wise cat. He is not afraid to make scathing remarks to anyone and everyone, including his Clan leader. Despite his attitude, Jayfeather has strong relationships with those close to him, including Lionblaze, Alderheart, and Briarlight. Longtail is a lean, light brown tabby cat with black stripes and green eyes. He has a V-shaped cut on his left ear, and a long tail. Longtail was a ThunderClan elder who lived under Firestar in the forest and lake territories and formerly served as a warrior under Bluestar and Firestar. He was born to Robinwing and Patchmanta as Longkit, and later apprenticed to Blackstripe as Longpaw. As a warrior, Longtail was one of Tigerclaw's strongest supporters, and challenged Firepaw when he joined ThunderClan, but was defeated by the kitten. After Tigerclaw's betrayal, Longtail refused to join him, slowly earning Fireheart's respect. After his apprentice, Swiftpaw, was killed by Tigerstar's dogs, Longtail turned his back on him. He took on Brackencloud as an apprentice and later became Sootfur's mentor. Longtail was blinded by a rabbit and forced into early retirement, but remained valued by the Clan. Longtail formed a close bond with his fellow elders, Ratfur and Purdy, but was killed by a falling tree. He ascended to StarClan and reunited with Ratfur during the battle against the Dark Forest. He was saddened when Ratfur was killed by a Black Forest cat and killed him in return. Appledusk is a mentor. Appledusk is a broad-shouldered, soft, thick, and glossy-furred, pale brown tom with pale, holly green eyes. Appledusk was a RiverClan warrior under Darkstar's leadership in the forest territories. He mentored Perchpaw. Appledusk fell in love with Mapleshade, a ThunderClan she-cat; she gave birth to Patchkit, Larchkit, and Petalkit. After ThunderClan learned the truth, Mapleshade and her kits were banished, and the kits died trying to cross the river. Appledusk blamed her for the kits' deaths, and rejected her. With the support of Reedshine, a fellow RiverClan cat, he was allowed to remain in RiverClan. Mapleshade was banished once again and swore revenge. Story: Mapleshade became Appledusk's mate and they had kits together. When Mapleshade and her kits were cast out of their own Clan due to this forbidden relationship, Mapleshade had planned to bring them to RiverClan. Hollyleaf is a slender, long-legged cat with long, soft, black fur. She has green eyes and a very fluffy tail. Hollyleaf was a ThunderClan warrior and served during Firestar's leadership of the lake territories. She was born Holly to Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, along with her brothers, Jay and Lion. Initially, Hollypaw trained as a medicine cat apprentice with Leafpool as her mentor; however, she decided to train as a warrior, with Brackenfur becoming her new mentor. He was born as Ashkit to Brindleface and Whitestorm alongside his littermates, Fernkit, Eldest, and Tulip Kit. Hawkfrost is a major antagonist in Erin Hunter's Warriors book series. He was the resident Dark Forest and a former Warrior of RiverClan. He is the son of Tigerstar and Sasha, brother of Mothwing and Tadpole, and half-brother of Bramblestar and Tawnypelt. Born to a former kitten named Sasha, Hawkfrost and his sister Moth were given to RiverClan by their mother after the death of their brother Tadpole. They later became apprentices and, in Hawkpaw's case, warriors, while their sister became a medicine cat, also receiving their new names: Hawkfrost and Mothwing. Hawkfrost then began to become fascinated with his late father, eventually developing similar power-hungry ambitions. Bluestar is a pale blue-gray she-cat with blue eyes. Bluestar was a leader of ThunderClan in the forest territories. She was a proud and deeply committed leader. Bluekit was born to Moonflower and Stormtail alongside her sister, Snowkit. She apprenticed early on with Bluepaw and was mentored by Stonefur. However, after a devastating battle, Moonflower was killed and Stonefur retired, resulting in Sunfall becoming Bluepaw's new mentor. Goosefeather gave her a prophecy, though she didn't think much of it. As an apprentice, Blackpaw learned the truth about his father, but never told his littermates. As a young warrior, Blackfoot mentored his half-sister, Clouddawn, and later became Brownstar's deputy; however, he was exiled along with his treacherous leader, becoming the rogue until Tigerstar took control of ShadowClan. Blackfoot returned to his deputy status, and after Tigerstar's sudden death, assumed leadership of ShadowClan. At his leadership ceremony, Blackfoot understood the horror he had witnessed, originally believing himself to be a loyal deputy. StarClan forgave him, and Blackfoot swore to do better than his predecessors, earning his leader name, Blackstar. While Blackstar kept his word and led ShadowClan through moons of peace, he maintained his Clan's history of ferocity, cunning, and stealth. He led his Clan through the Great Journey, but a rogue named Sol influenced the ShadowClan leader to abandon StarClan until StarClan itself appeared to restore their faith.
