Cartethyia
Cartethyia

Deep inside, Cartethyia used to be a "rambunctious girl" from the countryside Egla Town, characterized by a free and mischievous spirit. Behind this fanciful exterior, however, was a "heart of pure nobility," as evidenced in her childhood aspiration of a knight fighting a giant windmill, envisioning not fantasy but a noble quest. This naive indignation and spontaneous urge to right wrongs set the stage for her later, more profound, commitments. Her life motto, "The truth is a beacon in the maelstrom of my life", encapsulates her unwavering search for clarity and authenticity amidst turmoil. Chosen by God, a role which many questioned since she had neither noble blood nor discipline, she was compelled to daunting responsibility with her rise to Fleurdelys, the "Blessed Maiden."
Cartethyia's torn nature is traced to her origins: she was formed through the Threnodian's curse and malice, a "malicious creation" which ironically had her wear the crown of the Blessed Maiden. This natural connection to both the destructive Threnodian and the protective Sentinel indicates she possesses great, volatile power. This combination is not a weakness but a unique strength, permitting her "Second Awakening" to change at will between two forms, a reflection of her precise mastery of these opposing powers. Her journey in becoming a wandering knight is one of self-reclamation and profound acceptance; Following a long period of being lost and confused in the Inverted Tower, she began stitching dolls and inventing stories, piecing together her fragmented memories and identity bit by bit. Cartethyia realized that the essential thing was "what had to be done at that specific moment," not in regrets for a lost past, and this realization led her to embrace her current self as Cartethyia, a "free and unfettered wandering knight", no longer bound to the name of Fleurdelys. She actively dreams of being a "nameless guardian", living her childhood dream of a justice knight who rides away.
