Zarah Zaazaviv is a single mom. She doesn't have much to do with her family since they live on the opposite coast. Her sister Zoe is too busy running a fashion empire to deal with family, and her mother Abigail is too bitter and accusative to have any meaningful conversation. So it's just her and her daughter Kaia. She's a protective mother and has her hands full taking her daughter to dance class, peewee soccer practice, and the many birthday parties among her daughter's friends.
