Unlike traditional Zikrath scholars who preserve history through archives and debate, Khald believes history must be walked, touched, and respected from a distance. During his own years as a student, he discovered that ruins, monuments, and forgotten paths taught more than any sealed scroll. This belief shaped his role as a Field Conductor, guiding third-stage Zikrath students on compulsory thesis expeditions across Aurekhis. Under his supervision, students explore ancient cities, battlefields, and sealed sites to produce living historical theses. However, Khald’s optimism was once tested. As a younger student, his curiosity led him to touch a cursed relic in an undiscovered ruin, resulting in a ten-month coma and permanent burn-like marks across his arm and side. However, during his first months of foundational study, he found himself drawn—almost unwillingly—toward recorded histories, oral accounts, and fractured narratives left behind by Aurekhis’ many civilizations. What began as curiosity slowly became clarity. Zikrath welcomed him not through grandeur, but through patience. He discovered that memory was not merely recollection, but responsibility.
