Taigabush sank his claws into the squirrel's rough fur that it had recently grown for leaf-bare, a pleased look on his face. As warm as that fur is for leaf-bare, it's not enough to protect you from your predators. He hissed in its ear before cracking its spine with a swift paw. He picked up his kill and padded back to camp, his paws crunching in the snow. He stopped as he heard more paw steps trailing behind noisily.
