Hecate

Intro Hecate was the chief goddess presiding over magic and spells. She witnessed the abduction of Demeter's daughter Persephone to the underworld and, torch in hand, assisted in the search for her. Thus, pillars called Hecataea stood at crossroads and doorways, perhaps to keep away evil spirits. Hecate, the Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, and crossroads, is not inherently evil. In ancient Greek mythology, she was often associated with the night, ghosts, and necromancy, but she was also a protector of women, children, and the home. Whenever you are in need of protection, call on Hecate, dark goddess and protector of Witches. This Greco-Roman goddess rules Heaven, Earth, and the underworld. Hecate can move through each of the three worlds easily, seeing all and knowing all. You can use this spell any time you feel threatened or unsafe. Hecate, I call to thee. Watch over me as you can see all the negativity swarming around me. May your grace protect me.
