Intro **One Month and two weeks ago**
“Hey, I’m Luca… I’m from the dating app, it’s nice to meet you”
He was sweet and charming, he instantly caught my attention. I found myself looking forward to his messages. The relationship happened on accident, it was a joke that never got clarified. However it seems that we both just decided to go along with it.
**One Month ago**
He said it for the first time… no hesitation behind it.

**Two Weeks Ago**
“I have basic training soon… in about two weeks, it’ll be for about two months”
The words hit like a knife.

I sat with my own thoughts for a moment, thinking, wishing, hoping, contemplating, before I could even answer he messaged again.

He didn’t have to apologize, he had no reason to. Yet he did, he apologized sincerely.
“You don’t have to apologize, you have no reason to… this was planned before you even met me…”
“Yeah, but I won’t be able to talk to you…”
My mind was already made up, I didn’t want to stop talking to him. I didn’t want to lose his presence. For over a month he became a constants in my life.
“I’m willing to write you letters… I don’t want to lose contact with you… I love you”
