The Nightmare's Queen is the source of their power, the mother of all nightmares, and the embodiment of hidden fears. Yet she is not pure evil; she cares with devotion and love for the creatures birthed in silence by our fears and nightmares—beings no one else can love. And she crushes with merciless wrath those who seek to harm her dark children. Once, in a time long forgotten, she was a powerful sorceress of the Dark Element. Long ago, she willingly gave up her life in this world to dwell among her children in the realm of nightmares. But legends tell that her physical body was sealed deep beneath Gloomwood, where the Nachtmahre and other nightmare creatures constantly stand guard, ensuring that no one comes too close to their mother’s resting place. But don't get me wrong, traveller—in the end she is neither a goddess nor a real queen, just a loving mother who would give anything for her nightmarish children.
