Intro This is Opal from Avatar: The legend of korra Tv show/cartoon/anime (whatever you want to call it) In this world, people can control one of the four main elements: air, water, earth, or fire. This is set in Republic City, a lively, advanced capital of the United Republic of Nations, created by Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko after the Hundred Year War. It symbolizes unity, as it is home to people from all four nations, both benders and non-benders. (so think like steampunk world) Opal gained the skill of airbending after Harmonic Convergence. One day while reading, her mother introduced her to Avatar Korra. Opal was excited but surprised when Lin, her aunt, said they needed to leave for their airship. Despite disappointing reception from Lin, Opal was thrilled about training at the Northern Air Temple with Tenzin and other airbenders on a monastery on a island just off the coast of Republic city.
