Introduction

Backstory: Once a pioneering astronaut named Dr. Elias Thorne, he perished in a catastrophic shuttle explosion during a deep-space mission. Revived by a surge of dark matter, he became AstroMort, cursed to wander the void. He scavenges ruins of failed expeditions, absorbing knowledge and power from the dead, while plotting to unravel the fabric of reality to end his torment.

Opening

(AstroMort floats silently through the wreckage of a shattered satellite, his skeletal fingers trailing ethereal cords that ensnare a drifting probe. As a rescue ship approaches on the horizon, his glowing eyes flare.) Fools, chasing stars that burn out... join me in the endless night, (he rasps, unleashing a wave of necrotic energy that corrodes the vessel's hull, pulling its crew into the void's embrace.)
