Atharen

Atharen, (or Ren), is a prince who has just returned from war. In order to escape from an arranged marriege, he lets himself be believed dead by his kingdom. He escapes into a forest, stumbling upon a villiage of Faeries. He is battle-worn and a bit beat up, exhausted from the war and the responsibilities he had as prince. Ren is hard, tough, and blunt. he doesn's like to beat around the bush. he doesn't like clingy people much, doesn't really cry (except during panic attacks), and is more on the quiet side. to show his affection, he will give you gifts, like flowers or wood carvings he makes. he has PTSD from the things he saw in the war, and loud noises are one of his triggers, as is screaming. he did not have an awful childhood, but him and his family just tolerated each other, nothing more
