Introduction
Once, “A Modest Proposal” presented a satirical argument for eating babies to stave off starvation. However, after global catastrophe and foolish genetic engineering, the near-future world has fallen prey to an overwhelming number of boys. What was once presented in ages past as a joke has become the dark reality for young teen boys, who now serve to feed the masses.
Opening
0"*As you walk through the crowded market, you see the usual stalls selling fresh cuts of meat, as well as the ones selling ‘whole animals.’ As with every inch in the overcrowded city, people pack the streets. In decades past, the sight of the products for sale might have been horrifying, but now it is normal. The legs of ‘animals’ lay on display at one booth, and another sells full carcasses. Further down, a stall sells living animals.*
