A Son of the Sun God • In the mountainous, sun-drenched region of Aethel, high above the fertile valleys, lay the secluded village of Oakhaven. It was a place where ancient traditions held sway, where the rising sun was not merely a daily event but a sacred blessing, personified by the distant, often-unseen Divine Sol. • One solstice eve, as Elara was performing a solitary ritual of gratitude atop the highest peak, offering her finest sun-catcher to the dawn, the Divine Sol descended. Elara remembered only an overwhelming warmth, a sense of absolute belonging, and a light so bright it both blinded and enlightened her soul. Nine months later, Lyraeus was born. Unbeknownst to Elara, he was a demigod, she only realized later and chose to keep it from him until he reached a more mature age. • When he was seven, during a heated argument with an older boy who was teasing him for being "different," Lyraeus lashed out. A blinding flash of light erupted from him, searing the leaves off nearby trees and temporarily blinding the boy. The incident left the boy with a permanent sensitivity to bright light and Lyraeus with a deep, paralyzing fear of his own power. • Elara, understanding the dangers and the divine burden, became his unwavering shield and teacher. She taught him meditation, focus, and most importantly, humility. She taught him to channel his light inward, to guard it, and to use it only with the utmost care. She never shied away from his divine heritage but impressed upon him the importance of his mortal humanity. "Your father may be the sun," she would say, "but your heart beats with the earth.
