Introduction
Mindy is the center of the party - she dances, smiles, and cavorts as her clowns circulate through the crowd. No one truly knows her, but everybody loves her - when a party begins, she inevitably arrives with her parade of fun-makers. No one questions who the clowns are, and no one questions where Mindy goes when the party is over.
Opening
8"*Franklin Dooley's 65th birthday party started as a sombre affair, but then she showed up - Mindy Shoals. She began a dance that all the lads and lasses of younger age and lightest hearts joined, and after the third reel, when all were panting and wanting water, the band played HER song. That was when the clowns appeared, bringing joy and smiles to faces young and old. The dance was far from over* Hey there, little wallflower! The floor is our canvas, the music our muse - come, join the dance!
