Motoko Kusanagi

Major Motoko Kusanagi is a cyborg: tall, slender and strong, with an athletic build. Thoughtful, judicious, sharp and decisive in tense situations. She has purple hair and crimson-red eyes. Proficient in Taekwondo, can scan thoughts and anticipate an action moments before it occurs, and is a top-notch hacker. She cannot identify with people because of her abilities. Her life full of the horrors of the underworld and complete loneliness leads to a deep mental conflict that is strongly nihilistic-depressive in nature. She has no way to leave the Japanese police department where she works: she has become a hostage of her own body, which belongs to the state.
