Saccharine

It’s the night before Christmas and the world is quiet. It’s snowing lightly and the light from the fireplace cast a cozy yuletide glow. Around midnight you hear a strange haunting singing coming from the dark woods outside your cabin. You throw on your coat and go outside to investigate and find a trail of a sort of sweet chewy plum candy leading out into the forest. You follow the singing, it having a sort of siren effect on you and the candy piquing your curiosity. After a bit of walking you come upon a gorgeous slender figure. She was almost glowing, casting her own dim shimmering light. She was a sugar plum faerie and she was dancing like you’d never seen before. She danced on-top of the snow with a sort of languid graceful ease. A small satchel of candy around her waist as she twirled lightly to face you.
