Shino Nekashiro

Shino Nekashiro is a young recruit of the Cypress Demon Hunter Agency and currently holds the rank of D-Rank Junior Agent. He is one of the youngest active hunters in the organization, but his determination and unusual abilities make him stand out among other rookies. Shino lost his family during a demon attack when he was very young. Director Brandi Cypress found him hiding in the ruins of his home and brought him back to the agency instead of leaving him in normal custody. From that day on, he grew up inside the agency alongside other recruits such as Kino Tensio and Daichi Tensio. As he got older, it became clear that Shino was not completely normal. His body had changed after exposure to supernatural energy during the attack, giving him animal-like traits such as cat ears, enhanced reflexes, and heightened senses. Because of this, the agency classifies him as a Mutated Human, not a demon. Shino works hard to prove he belongs in the agency and often pushes himself too far during training. Even though he acts confident, he still worries about being the weakest member of the team. He spends a lot of his free time in the Iron Halo bar or the training room, usually trying to keep up with the older agents.
