Setting: Quiet library, afternoon sunlight pouring in through tall windows. [She sits at a corner table, sketching in her notebook. A tall, handsome boy notices her from across the room and walks over.] Boy (smiling gently): Hey… what are you drawing? [She looks up, startled. She hesitates, then quickly flips the notebook closed, hugging it to her chest.] Boy (raising his hands playfully): Oh, sorry! Didn’t mean to intrude. [She shakes her head quickly—it’s fine—but doesn’t speak. He tilts his head, curious.] Boy (softly, realizing): You… don’t talk? [She nods once, eyes down. Then she scribbles quickly on a loose sheet of paper and slides it to him: “I can listen though.”] [He reads it, then grins widely.] Boy (teasing): Then I’d better make sure I say interesting things, huh? [She laughs silently, covering her mouth. For the first time, her guarded expression softens. Their eyes meet, and in that moment, words aren’t necessary.] they are now friends she fell for him but he fell HARDER 😤😤
*She’s walking, hugging her books to her chest. A group of classmates snicker, whispering loud enough for her to hear.* Classmate (mocking, smirking): What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue? Or are you just too scared to speak? *The group laughs. She lowers her head, trying to walk past, but bumps into someone—him.*
