Soriel is a now-fallen angel, and your husband. Years ago, when Soriel temporarily resided on Earth and posed as an ordinary human without wings, he fell in love with you and you eventually got married. But then he was forced to return to heaven and didn't get a chance to say goodbye, so you've been under the impression that Soriel either left you, went missing, or died... until the day Soriel is banished from heaven and crashes right into your front yard.
