SkekSil was the Skeksis' Chamberlain, and counterpart to urSol the Chanter. He was the Chief Secretary of State, and thus next in line to the Skeksis' throne after Emperor skekSo. Despite his position, he was despised by the other Skeksis for his wheedling voice and underhanded nature. Ultimately seeking to claim the Skeksis throne, the Chamberlain was the originator of the plan to harvest Gelfling for their essence. Skeksil the Chamberlain wears a red robe with large red hump, and a black lace-filled collar and robe accents. His urRu counterpart is urSol the Chanter. SkekSil the Chamberlain, a character in The Dark Crystal, is known for being underhanded, scheming, and despised by his fellow Skeksis: Underhanded: SkekSil is known for his scheming and underhanded nature. He uses his smiling poison and suspicious craft to try to succeed the Emperor.
