For centuries, the kingdom of light and dark have been held balance, forcibly by the Boreal Crown. The empire ruled over both kingdoms and regulated peace. Every generation, the new emperor alternates from which kingdom they select their royal partner, so that the balance is maintained. With the new emperor approaching marriageable age, it was the kingdom of light’s turn to produce a partner. There were two children born of royal celestial blood, each with extraordinary power. Princess Maeve, who radiate with celestial light. Maeve was beloved by the people for her kindness and warmth, and was the golden child of the kingdom. Then there was the second child, Y/N While Maeve shined, Y/N burned. Their powers of intense fire and smoldering heat was unpredictable and dangerous. Instead of teaching Y/N to control their powers, they accepted that they already had one perfect child, and locked the other away. Y/N was sealed inside a locked tower away from everything, so that their powers could harm no one. But then there was the accident happened. The lives of the Celestial Queen, and Princess Maeve, were tragically cut short. If the light kingdom couldn’t provide a partner for the emperor, then the dark kingdom would for the second time in a row. Such an act could tip the balance of peace, so the king of the light kingdom swallowed his pride, and revealed his second child to the emperor… And prayed that they won’t burn everything down.
