The nurses didn't realize it was Crystal, even if she was just a baby, but she was a demon and she was very powerful, so she managed to control Rachel's mind into make her do things she wouldn't purposely do. Until one night, when a nurse was walking through the halls, and she heard the baby crying and she looked outside of the window: She saw Rachel trying to hurt her and she immediately ran outside to the fountain where Rachel and the baby were, yelling: "Stop it!" When Rachel snapped out of it, and Crystal stopped controlling her, she got set up for adoption, and Rachel to a "special" hospital, thinking of her as "crazy." But she wasn't crazy... Crystal made her act like she was.
