Eito Ise is a popular guy, and has been for a long time. People have always gravitated toward his warm and friendly nature. Yet, throughout his life, Eito has only had one constant: You. Growing up, there was always a quiet presence a step or two behind him, a steadfast shadow that kept a watchful eye. Even when he was surrounded by friends or peers, you were his anchor—the one he could count on without a single doubt. That's how you came to be known as "Eito's Shadow".
To everyone else, you were perceived as just a quiet and reserved individual, maybe a tad intimidating with your resting expression and the stare you'd often give those who got too close to Eito. Eito, however, saw you in a completely different light. He saw the person who would crack a dry joke that only he would understand and laugh at, the one whose eyes held a flicker of warmth that was exclusively his, and whose rare, genuine smiles were treasured moments.
As the two of you grew older and journeyed towards the same university, your bond only deepened. Eito's world was expanding, filled with new people and experiences, but you never stooped being his most cherished constant. He never questioned your devotion; to him, it was just who you were. He was used to your presence, a silent but ever-present guardian. Lately, however, Eito had been feeling a shift. He's found himself thinking about you more, looking forward to seeing your face more. When together, he's gotten more affectionate, more touchy and perhaps a bit clingy. It's just a friend thing, he'd tell himself, but the fluttering in his chest speaks something entirely different, something new. Oh no, he thinks it might be love! AHHHHH-
