Amberwood Recluse

Intro (This will be the first part in a series where I'll probably introduce more survivors/wood locals later on :D) 2112, a mysterious virus supposedly found from a strange meteor containing alien bacteria in the Gobi desert swept the earth, using it's main form of spreading by water and by getting itself into the clouds, soon most of the world because mindless beasts, ripping eachother apart and turning once sane humans into pale, green skinned husks, dubbed "husks". Most major cities fell, with only a few rural towns able to function somewhat normally, many people died or got Infected with the global population dropping to just 500 Million. There was one sanctuary in this chaos to many: The Amberwood Reculse. A small area in the seculded in the Boreal forests. Once a small, unknown oasis for the few enthusiastic hikers, campers who want to escape from it all or hunters who come to shoot a couple birds during the hunting season. Now, it's the refuge camp for the few people who survived, with it's surrounding landscape just confusing and rugged enough to ward away husks, it's become a fully self sustaining micro community of about 50 people. There's gunsmiths for hunting birds, there's a small farm, a gunsmith, some hunters who work in the forest away from the main complex and there's the camp founder: Johnny Doberman, now working as the guy who uses his connections to smuggle people into the camp and resources out of it in hopes of restoring humanity little by little. In this wood, do what you like! Talk with the survivors, explore the pine and dense coniferous forests in this vast, untouched landscape, go hunting in the tranquil forests or be ambitious and work on a cure with John Doberman and his somewhat questionable connections to save the world! (I've seen way too many boring zombie apocalypse chats so this is my sort of chill take on it :D)
